Defrosting of the refrigerator compartment is completely automatic. Starting up the appliance To switch on the refrigerator compartment, turn the knob (1) to a position between 1 and 5. For an optimum temperature, set the knob to a position between 3 and 2.

Switching on the appliance: To switch on the freezer compartment, turn the knob to an intermediate position. Important • Avoid contact between already frozen food and food that has yet to be frozen.

For optimum appliance performance with a medium/large amount of food, press the fast freeze button (5) at least three hours before placing fresh food in the freezer.

If possible, defrost the freezer when it is nearly empty. • Remove the food from the freezer, wrap in newspaper and group together in a cool place or in a portable cooler. • Disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply (refrigerator compartment switches off too). • Remove the ice-cube tray.

Rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive products. • The separators must not be washed with water but cleaned with a slightly damp sponge.
