NOTES FOR PORTABLE SUPERSWEEP USE:
Working with pivot brackets, pivot arm, and bin sweep flighting is the same as
with the standard bin sweep. A portable chain clamp is substituted for pivot
brackets ( on page 35). A chain clamp allows quick movement of bin sweep
from auger to auger.
This unit comes standard with over-center belt tightener on the pump. This
allows for easier starting of gas engine (Figure 4.4).
Operate motor unit from outside working area, on as level a position as possi-
ble.
If motor unit is tipped over when not in operation, it will likely flood cylinder
and carburetor. We suggest that you:
Remove spark plug and replace or clean it.
With the spark plug out, crank engine 4- 6 times to clear cylinder.
Finally, replace the spark plug and start the engine.
After running bin sweep momentarily, shut the unit down, and check the
hydraulic oil reservoir. Do not fill the reservoir, but leave 1/2 L (qt) of space
for oil fluctuation.
WARNING
Fire Hazard!
Grain dust is combustible; be sure motor unit
is not operated in an area with high levels of
grain dust.
