DRAINING COLLECTED WATER

WARNING
Be careful not to spill drain
water and make sure the drain plug is completley in
place before resuming operation. Liquid spilling or
leaking from the unit could result in electric shock,
a slippery surface, or property damage.
If too much water has built up inside the
unit, the air conditoner stops running and “ft”
(full tank) appears in the display. When this
happens, the water condensation needs to be
drained.
NOTE: You may need to drain the unit more frequently in
areas with high humidity.
Manual draining in cool and dry modes:
lUnplug the air conditioner.
lPlace a drain pan under the lower drain plug
lRemove the cap from the lower drain plug and allow the
water to drain.
NOTE: Do not tilt the unit. Keep it vertical while draining.
lReinstall the drain plug cap.
Continuous draining in dry mode:
lUnplug the air conditioner.
lRemove the cap from the upper drain plug.
NOTE: Some residual water condensation may spill.
Use a towel to clean any spillage.
lInsert one end of a drain hose (1/2 in. diameter) [not
supplied] or a garden hose (not supplied) into the upper
drain plug and the other end into a bucket or oor drain.
lPlug in the air conditoiner and begin operation. The unit
will drain continously as it runs.
lWhen you are nished running the unit, stop and unplug
the air conditioner.
lRemove the drain hose or garden hose (not supplied).
lReinstall the drain plug cap.
