OPERATION
WARNING
Do not alter or modify this
product unless instructed to so in this manual or
by the manufacturer. Do not use attachments or
accessories that are not recommended for use with
this product. Making unauthorized modications
and using incompatible accessories can damage
the unit and may void your warranty.
WARNING
Avoid tripping hazards. Do not
place the cord in high trafc areas or try to hide it
beneath rugs and carpets.
WARNING
Make sure the drain plugs are
securely in place before moving or operating the unit.
Liquid spilling or leaking from the unit could result in
electric shock, a slippery surface, or property damage.
WARNING
NEVER operate the air
conditioner without the lters in place. Doing so
could damage the motor and reduce air quality.
SELECTING A SUITABLE LOCATION
See Figures 16 - 19.
Use the following guidelines to select a location for
the unit:
lThe air conditioner must be operated within 64°F (18°C)
and 95°F (35°C).
lDo not operate the air conditioner in a humid
environment.
lThis air conditioner is intended for residential use only
and should be operated indoors.
lDo not place the appliance ush against a wall. For
optimal performance, there should be at least 18 inches
around and above the unit.
lDo not operate this appliance near heat sources such
as stoves, heat registers, radiators, or other devices
(including ampliers) that produce heat.

lKeep air inlet and air outlet clean. Routinely inspect for
debris and obstacles.
lThe appliance must be positioned so that a grounded
outlet is accessible.
lThe exhaust hose can extend, but it is the best to keep
the length to the minimum required. Make sure the hose
does not bend sharply or sag.
