SAFETY IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS WARNING To reduce the risk of injury, the user must read and understand the instructions before using this product. WARNING When using this product, basic, precautions should always be followed, including the following: NOTICE This hermetically sealed system contains fluoridated greenhouse gases covered by the Kyoto Protocol.
SAFETY WARNING • Do not attempt to accelerate the defrosting process or to clean, other than those recommended by the manufacturer. • The appliance shall be stored in a room without continuously operating ignition sources (for example: open flames, an operating gas appliance or an operating electric heater. • Do not pierce or burn. • Be aware that refrigerants may not contain an odor.
ELECTRICAL GROUNDING This product must be grounded. Grounding creates a path of least resistance for electrical current in the case of a malfunction or breakdown which reduces the risk of electric shock. This appliance comes with an electrical cord that has an equipment-grounding conductor and and a grounding plug. The plug is designed to fit into a matching outlet that is installed and grounded appropriately. Follow all local codes and ordinances.

ASSEMBLY REMOVING CARTON CONTENTS ATTACHING THE EXHAUST HOSE WARNING This product requires assembly. Do not attempt to operate this product if any items in the INCLUDED LIST are already assembled when you remove the carton contents. These items are not assembled by the manufacturer and should require customer assembly. Using an improperly assembled product can be hazardous and could result in serious personal injury. l Carefully open the carton. l Remove and inspect the carton contents.
ASSEMBLY l Place the hose outlet on the end of the exhaust hose and turn clockwise to secure. l Slide the hose inlet into the grooves on either side of the exhaust duct. l Apply slight downward pressure on the hose inlet until the latch snaps into place and the hose is secure. l Route the other end of the exhaust hose to the window vent kit. ASSEMBLY l The window vent kit can be modified to fit different sized windows that open vertically or horizontally up to 39.9 in. • If the window opening is less than 20.5 in., use a saw to cut the fixed panel to the appropriate size. • If the window opening is larger than the fixed panel (20.5 in.), use sliding panels. Secure additional panels using screws. l Install the window vent kit into the window frame.
OPERATION WARNING Do not alter or modify this product unless instructed to so in this manual or by the manufacturer. Do not use attachments or accessories that are not recommended for use with this product. Making unauthorized modifications and using incompatible accessories can damage the unit and may void your warranty. WARNING Avoid tripping hazards. Do not place the cord in high traffic areas or try to hide it beneath rugs and carpets. l Keep air inlet and air outlet clean.
OPERATION OPERATING THE AIR CONDITIONER See Figures 20 - 21. l Place the air conditioner in a suitable location. l Plug the air conditioner into a grounded outlet. NOTE: The power supply should be 120 V, AC only (normal household current), 60 Hz. l Use the control panel or remote control to turn the air conditioner on, choose modes, or adjust settings. Refer to Using the Control Panel and Using the Remote Control later in this section.
OPERATION Smart Mode In this mode, the appliance automatically chooses whether to operate in cool or fan mode. • Press the MODE button ( ) until the following images appear in the display. • Select your desired fan speed by pressing the FAN button ( ) . Choose between High, Low, and Auto. Refer to corresponding LEDs above the FAN button ( ). NOTE: The unit operates in fan mode when the room temperature is below 73℉ (23℃), and cool mode when the room temperature is above 73℉ (23℃).
OPERATION ERROR CODES This appliance has a self-diagnostic system to identify a number of malfunctions. Error messages appear on the display as shown. ERROR CODE SOLUTION Unplug the appliance and contact customer service at 1 (855) 944-3571. PROBE FAILURE (Damaged Sensor) Drain the collected water as described in the Care and Maintenance section. FULL TANK (Condensate Water Tank Full) Child Lock • To activate the child lock, press and hold both the Up ( ) and Down ( ) buttons for three seconds.
OPERATION FAN Button ( ) Turbo Function Press the FAN button ( ) to cycle between fan speeds in cool, fan, and smart mode. The Fan Speed icons will appear in the remote display. LOW HIGH When the Turbo Function is activated, the temperature setting defaults to 64℉ (18℃) and the fan speed is set to high. To activate the Turbo Function: AUTO • Press the FUNCTION button ( ) and wait for the turbo icon to flash in the remote display. • Press the FUNCTION button ( ) again to activate the Turbo Function.
OPERATION • To deactivate the Follow Me Function, press the FUNCTION button ( ) and then the Up ( ) or Down ( ) button until the Follow Me icon flashes on the remote. CLEANING THE HOUSING AND GRILLES See Figure 27. If there’s light dust on the housing, use a soft towel to wipe it. If the housing is very dirty or greasy, use a soft cloth dampened with mild detergent and water.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE DRAINING COLLECTED WATER See Figures 29 - 31 FIG. 29 WARNING Be careful not to spill drain water and make sure the drain plug is completley in place before resuming operation. Liquid spilling or leaking from the unit could result in electric shock, a slippery surface, or property damage. A If too much water has built up inside the unit, the air conditoner stops running and “ft” (full tank) appears in the display. When this happens, the water condensation needs to be drained.

MONTAJE l Coloque la salida de la manguera en el extremo de la manguera de escape y gire en el sentido de las agujas del reloj para asegurarla. l Deslice la entrada de la manguera en las ranuras a ambos lados del conducto de escape. l Aplique una ligera presión hacia abajo en la entrada de la manguera hasta que el pestillo encaje en su lugar y la manguera esté segura. l Dirija el otro extremo de la manguera de escape al kit de ventilación de la ventana. Asegure los pane-les adicionales con tornillos.
OPERACIÓN ADVERTENCIA No altere ni modifique este producto a menos que así se indique en este manual o por el fabricante. OPERACIÓN • La velocidad del ventilador se seleccionará automáticamente y no se podrá ajustar. OPERACIÓN Botón DORMIR ( ) sección anterior para obtener información sobre los modos frío, ventilador, seco e inteligente. Presione el botón DORMIR ( ) para entrar en el modo de suspensión. OPERACIÓN Función Sígueme Cuando se activa la función Sígueme, el mando a distancia detectará la temperatura en su ubicación y enviará esa información al aparato. Una vez que se recibe la señal, el ajuste de temperatura en el aparato se ajustará automáticamente para que coincida con la temperatura en la ubicación del control remoto.

ASSEMBLAGE RETRAIT DU CONTENU DU CARTON AVERTISSEMENT Ce produit nécessite un assemblage. N’essayez pas de faire fonctionner ce produit si des éléments de la LISTE INCLUS sont déjà assemblés lorsque vous retirez le contenu du carton. Ces articles ne sont pas assemblés par le fabricant et doivent être assemblés par le client. L’utilisation d’un produit mal assemblé peut être dangereuse et entraîner des blessures graves. l Coupez soigneusement les côtés de l’emballage et retirez le contenu du carton.
ASSEMBLAGE l Placer la sortie du tuyau à l’extrémité du tuyau d’échappement et tourner dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre pour fixer. l Faire glisser l’entrée du tuyau dans les rainures de chaque côté du conduit d’échappement. l Appliquer une légère pression vers le bas sur l’entrée du tuyau jusqu’à ce que le loquet s’enclenche et que le tuyau soit fixé. l Acheminer l’autre extrémité du tuyau d’échappement vers le kit d’aération de la fenêtre. ASSEMBLAGE l Le kit d’évent de fenêtre peut être modifié pour s’adapter à des fenêtres de différentes tailles qui s’ouvrent verticalement ou horizontalement jusqu’à 39,9 po. • Si l’ouverture de la fenêtre est inférieure à 20,5 po, utilisez une scie pour couper le panneau fixe à la taille appropriée. • Si l’ouverture de la fenêtre est plus grande que le panneau fixe (20,5 po), utilisez des panneaux coulissants. Fixez les panneaux supplémentaires à l’aide de vis.
FONCTIONNEMENT AVERTISSEMENT Ne modifiez pas ce produit à moins d’instructions dans le présent manuel ou par le fabricant. N’utilisez pas de pièces jointes ou d’accessoires dont l’utilisation n’est pas recommandée avec ce produit. FONCTIONNEMENT l Le tuyau d’échappement peut s’étendre, mais il est préférable de maintenir la longueur au minimum requis. Assurez-vous que le tuyau ne se plie pas brusquement ou ne s’affa rase pas. FAIRE FONCTIONNER LE CLIMATISEUR Voir les figures 20 à 21. l Placer le climatiseur dans un endroit approprié. l Branchez le climatiseur dans une prise mise à la terre. NOTE : L’alimentation doit être de 120 V, AC seulement (courant domestique normal), 60 Hz.
FONCTIONNEMENT Mode sec Unités de température Dans ce mode, l’unité agit comme un déshumidificateur éliminant l’humidité de l’air. L’affichage affichera l’icône sèche ( ). • Appuyez sur le bouton MODE ( ) jusqu’à ce que le voyant « Dry » (sec) soit allumé. • La vitesse du ventilateur sera sélectionnée automatiquement et ne peut pas être ajustée. Lorsque vous utilisez le mode sec, nous vous recommandons de vidanger le réservoir en continu comme décrit dans la section Entretien et maintenance.
FONCTIONNEMENT • NOTE : La fonction Minuterie ALLUMÉE peut être annulée en appuyant sur le bouton MINUTERIE ( ) après que la minuterie a été réglée. Si la fonction est annulée, le voyant du minuteur s’éteint. Minuterie ÉTEINTE • Pendant que l’appareil est en marche, appuyez sur le bouton MINUTERIE ( ) et attendez que l’affichage clignote. • Utilisez les bouton HAUT ( ) ou BAS ( ) pour définir l’heure avant l’arrêt de l’appliance. La minuterie peut être ajustée par incréments de 30 minutes jusqu’à 24 heures.
FONCTIONNEMENT Bouton MINUTERIE ( ) FAIBLE Utilisez le bouton MINUTERIE ( ) pour programmer le climatiseur pour démarrer ou s’arrêter à une certaine heure. Référezvous aux instructions dans la section précédente d’utiliser la Minuterie ÉTEINTE et Minuterie ALLUMÉE. L’icône Minuterie ALLUMÉE ou Minuterie ÉTEINTE et l’heure restante apparaîtront dans l’affichage à distance. Bouton MODE ( ) Appuyez sur le bouton MODE ( ) pour passer des modes froid, sec et ventilateur.
FONCTIONNEMENT • Appuyez sur le bouton FONCTION ( ) et attendez que l’icône turbo clignote dans l’affichage à distance. • Appuyez à nouveau sur le bouton FONCTION ( ) Appuyez à nouveau sur le bouton FONCTION ( ) pour activer la fonction Turbo. L’icône turbo cessera de clignoter et restera dans l’écran à distance. • Pour désactiver la fonction Turbo, appuyez sur le bouton MODE ( ) ou le bouton Haut ( ) ou Bas ( ).
ENTRETIEN ET MAINTENANCE AVERTISSEMENT ÉTEIGNEZ TOUJOURS le climatiseur et débranchez-le avant d’effectuer la maintenance. Communiquez avec le service à la clientèle avant d’entretenir des pièces de rappel ou de garantie. NETTOYAGE DU BOÎTIER ET DES GRILLES Voir la figure 27. ENTRETIEN ET MAINTENANCE NETTOYAGE DU CONDUIT D’ÉVACUATION l Débranchez le climatiseur. FIG. 29 l Retirer le conduit d’échappement du climatiseur d’air et du panneau de la fenêtre, s’il y a lieu. l Nettoyez le conduit d’échappement avec de l’eau tiède et un détergent doux. l Laisser sécher le conduit d’échappement, puis le réinstaller.
