Positioning
Problem
IntheWindowsDisplayProperties>Settingstab,thesecondarymonitorscannotbe
positioneddirectlyabovemonitor#1withoutsnappinghorizontallytoaposition
diagonaltomonitor#1.
WhentheProblemOccurs
Theproblemoccurswhenfourmonitorsareconnectedtothegraphicsadaptercard,
butonlytwoofthemareenabled.
CauseandWorkaround
ThisisaMicrosoft—notanNVIDIA—bug,andthereisnoworkaroundtocorrectthe
positioningofthemonitoricons.However,theactualpositioningofthedisplayson
thedesktopcanbecorrectedusingthenViewDesktopManagerwindowasfollows:
a UndertheToolstabintheDesktopManager
windows,makesureAutomatically
AlignDisplaysischecked.
b IntheSettingstab,positiontheappropriatemonitoriconabovemonitor#1,then
clickApply.
Themousecursormovementbetweenmonitordesktopswillcorrespondtoa
verticalorientationofthemonitors,eventhoughthemonitoriconsintheSettings
tabarediagonal
toeachother.
Antialiasing Problems With Certain Applications
AntialiasingintheNVIDIADirect3Ddriverrequireseachnewframetoberendered
fromscratch.Thisrequirementadverselyaffectsapplicationsthatrenderonlythat
portionofthecontentthathaschangedsincethelastframe.Acommonsymptomofthis
