MANUALLY STARTING A GENERATOR
NOTE: This procedure can also be used on an 
 electric start generator.
1.  Check oil levels (see Adding Engine Oil page 24)
2.  Make sure the circuit breakers are properly set (see 
Figure 13 below).

2.  Move the fuel shut o valve to the ON position (see 
Figure 14 below).

3.  Move the choke lever to the ON position 
(see Figure 15 below).

4.  Push the engine control switch into the RUN 
position (see Figure 16 below).
5.  Firmly grasp and pull the recoil handle slowly until 
you feel increased resistance. At this point, apply 
a rapid pull while pulling up and slightly away from 
the generator (see Figure20).
6.  As the engine starts and stabilizes, gradually move 
the choke lever back to the OFF position. (Figure 18)
