TheCommandLineInterface(CLI)istheuserinterfacetothe switch’sembedded
softwaresystem.Youcanviewthesysteminformation,showthestatus,configure
theswitchandreceivearesponsebackfromthesystembykeyinginacommand.
Therearesomedifferentcommandmodes.Eachcommandmodehasitsown
accessability,availablecommandlinesandusesdifferentcommandlinestoenter
andexit.ThesemodesareUserEXEC,PrivilegedEXEC,GlobalConfiguration,
(Port/VLAN)InterfaceConfigurationmodes.
UserEXECmode:AslongasyoulogintheswitchbyCLI.YouareintheUserEXEC
mode.Youcanping,telnetremotedevice,andshowsomebasicinformation.
