switch.Thisisso‐calledout‐bandmanagement.Itwouldn’tbeaffectedbythe
networkperformance.
Thein‐bandmanagementmeansyoucanremotelymanagetheswitchviathe
network.YoucanchooseTelnetorWeb‐basedmanagement.Youjustneedto
knowthedevice’sIPaddress.Thenyoucanremotelyconnecttoitsembedded
HTMLwebpagesorTelnetconsole.
WestermowebmanagementpageisdevelopedbyJava.Itallowsyoutousea
standardweb‐browsersuchasMicrosoftInternetExplorer,orMozilla,to
configureandinterrogatetheswitchfromanywhereonthenetwork.
