3. Filling the Oil Sump
Add fresh oil through the oil filler cap on the valve cover
(refer
to the photographs on pages 6 and 7 for the W
35B, pages 8 and 9 for the W 38B, and pages
10 and 11
for the W 42B for the location olthe oil filler cap and lube
oil dipstick). After refilling the oil, run the engine for a
few moments while checking the engine's oil pressure.
Make sure there is no
leakage around the new oil filter
or from the oil drain system, and then stop the engine.
Then check the
quanttty of oil wtth the lube oil dipstick.
Fill to, but
not over, the high mark on the dipstick, should
the engine require additional oil.
