Fuel Injection Pump
The illustration below shows the 7.6 KW
BID's fuel system. The fuel injection pump, located to the
right,
is one of the most important components of the diesel engine and, therefore, calls for the utmost
caution
in handling. Furthermore, the fuel injection pump has been thoroughly bench-tested and should
not
be tampered with.
Speed (hertz) and timing adjustment are the only adjustments the servicing dealer can perform on the
injection pump.
Other types of adjustments or repairs must be performed by a qualified injection service
shop.

To obtain long and satisfactory service from the injection pump, always use fuel which is free from
impurities and maintain a good filtration and water separation system between the fuel tank and engine.
Service this system regularly: the injection pump it saves will
be your own.
