Fuel Injection Pump
The fuel injection pump is one of the most important components of the diesel engine and therefore calls for
the utmost caution in
handling. Furthermore, the fuel injection pump has been thoroughly bench-tested and
should not be tampered with.
Running speed (Hertz) and timing adjustment are the
only adjustments the servicing dealer can perform on
the injection pump.
Other types of adjustments or repairs must be performed by a qualified injection service
shop.

Typical Fuel System
To obtain long and satisfactory service from the injection pump, always use fuel which is free from impurities
and maintain a
good filtration and water separation system between the fuel tank and generator engine. Ser-
vice this system regularly; the injection pump it saves may be your own.
