INSPECTION 
Before starting 
your 
engine for 
the 
first 
time 
or after a 
prolonged 
layoff,

following 
items:

Add

to 
maintain 
the 
level 
at 
the 
high 
mark 
on 
the

fuel 
supply, 
then 
check the 
fuel

and 
examine 
the 
fuel 
filter/water separator 
bowl 
for 
contaminants.

the transmission 
fluid 
level.

DC 
electrical 
system. 
Inspect 
wire 
connections 
and 
battery cable 
connections. 
Make certain 
the 
positive 
(+) 
battery 
cable is 
connected 
to 
the starter solenoid 
and 
the 
negative 
(-) 
cable 
is 
connected to 
the 
engine 
ground 
stud 
(this 
location 
is 
tagged).

Check 
the 
coolant 
level 
in 
both 
the plastic recovery 
tank

An ample 
supply 
is 
necessary for proper engine 
performance.

sure

mounting installation is

the propeller shaft is securely attached
