Creating a New Access List
Adding a new Access List provides a custom access configuration for a user or group of users. User-defined Access Lists
allow you to apply special rules in addition to those in the Universal list. An Access List is created by first specifying the IP
address (or range) to which the services apply, then by adding services to the list. Each service listed on the Access List is
another service allowed or denied to the IP address(es) for that list. You can add or delete individual services to customize
firewall control.
To add a new Access List:
1. Click the link,
Add New Access List
. The
Firewall - Add new Access List
screen appears.

2. From the
IP Type
drop-down list, select the IP type you are adding (Single IP, IP Range, or IP Subnet).
3. In the fields provided for
IP1
, type the IP address of the list you are adding. If you selected IP Range for the IP Type
drop-down, type the first IP address of the range under
IP1
and the last IP address of the range under
IP2
.
4.
Click the
Save
button at the bottom of the
Firewall: Add new Access List
screen.
Adding a Service
Adding a service to an Access List allows users to send traffic of that type outside the local network.
To add a service:
1. Click on the
Access List
folder to display the current Access Lists.
2. Click the ADD
box to the right of ALLOWED OUTBOUND SERVICES. The
Firewall - Add a service
window
opens.
