CHAPTER 3 - INSTALLATION
AND CONNECTION
3.3.2
Emissionand Immunity
Levels Description
4) The length of the wiring between filter and inverter must be
kept as short as possible.
5) The cables shielding
(motor and control)
must be solidly
connected to thecommonback plate, using a metal bracket.
6)Grounding asrecommended in thismanual.
7)Useshort
earthing cabletoearththe externalfilterorinverter.
When an external filter is used, only use an earth cable at
filterinput-theinverterearthconnectionisdonebythemetallic
back plate.
8)Earth the backplate using a braid, as shortas possible. Flat
conductors (e.g. braidsor brackets) have lower impedance
athighfrequencies.
9)Use cable glands wheneverpossible.
EMC Phenomenon
Emission:
Conducted Emission (Mains Terminal
Disturbance Voltage - Frequency Band
150 kHz to 30 MHz)
Radiated Emission (Electromagnetic
Radiation Disturbance - Frequency
Band 30 MHz to 1000 MHz)
Immunity:
Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
Fast Transient-burst
Conducted Radio-frequency
CommonMode
Surge
Radio-frequency Electromagnetic Field
