Crafted For Life Delémont, Switzerland 1893 Over a century ago, Wenger built a factory in this tiny Swiss village and transformed it into production headquarters for the Genuine Swiss Army Knife™ still used by the Swiss Army today. As it was 100 years ago, each tool, implement and knife manufactured by Wenger is crafted by hand in solid stainless steel and each individually inspected for quality and craftsmanship. This same attention to detail has been applied to genuine Wenger watches.
Wenger Watch Components Movements – Swiss mechanism. Case Body – All stainless steel for quality and durability. Water-Resistant – To 100m (330'). Straps/Bracelets – Stainless steel bracelets featuring dive buckles and safety clasps. Straps are offered in genuine calfskin leather, specially treated rubberized leather, water-resistant rubber or nylon, or other high-quality materials.

Compass Button • To select Compass Mode. • To calibrate compass. Day Button • To select “Day of Week” display. Time Button • To display digital time in hour-minute or seconds. • To enter the Time Setting Mode. Date Button • To select “Date and Month” display.
Setting the Analog Watch 1. To set the analog time, gently pull out the crown to Position 2. 2. Second hand will stop and digital time will flash. 3. Rotate crown so the watch hands move clockwise to the correct time. Second Hand Alignment To synchronize the digital with analog seconds, push in the crown to return it to Position 1 at correct moment.
Setting the Digital Time and Calendar 1. Hold down the Time Button until the digital seconds flash. 2. Press the Compass Button to scroll through minutes, hours, year, month and date as well as date format (both month and date flashing), time format (12 hour to 24 hour) and seconds. 3. Use the Day Button to increase to the desired value. Hold it down to quickly increase the value. 4. Press the Date Button to return to the previous display. Date Display 1.
Day of the Week Display 1. Press the Day Button to switch on the Day of the Week display. 2. The display will show for 2 seconds, and will turn off automatically. Precautions and Tips for Using Compass 1. Keep the watch away from any magnets or appliances that contain magnets or generate magnetic fields such as mobile phones, speakers, motors, etc. 2. This watch points to the magnetic north, which is slightly different from true north. Check the “What is Magnetic Declination” section on p.
Compass Display 1. Press the Compass Button to switch on the compass display. 2. The compass bearing in degrees and an arrow indicator under the Wenger cross will display. 3. The display will show for 30 seconds, and turn off automatically.
Calibrating the Compass 1. See “Magnetic Declination by Major City” section to determine declination angle and refer to p.12-14. 2. Hold down the Compass Button for 3 seconds to select setting display. 3. When the “CAL” is displayed, keep the watch parallel to the horizon, and steadily rotate the watch clockwise two full rotations (the indicators will move in a clockwise direction automatically). 4. After the two rotations, the first step of the calibration is complete. 5.
Taking a Compass Measurement 1. The watch must be parallel with the horizon for accurate reading. 2. Point the Wenger cross toward the object or direction you intend to go and press the Compass Button. 3. The compass bearing of the target will show in degrees: 0° = North 90° = East 180° = South 270° = West. Note: For more information about using a compass, there are many resources available on the internet.
Compass Bearing vs. Compass Direction Compass Bearing – the horizontal direction of an object as measured by the observer in degrees. Compass Direction – the path given by a compass using the four cardinal points including North, South, East & West. This watch points to the Magnetic North Pole.
• For serious compass users or people who intend to perform accurate navigation, the compass must be adjusted to include the magnetic declination. This watch includes a compensation setting for Magnetic Declination. See the “Calibrating the Compass” section on p.10. Magnetic Declination Information • Most topographic maps show a magnetic north pole and/or the magnetic declination information. See the “Magnetic Declination at Major Cities” section on p.15-19.
Magnetic Declination Compensation • Compensate for an object’s bearing by subtracting westerly magnetic declination or adding easterly magnetic declination with the magnetic bearing. Example 1 - Westerly magnetic declination = 23°, Magnetic bearing = 323°. - True bearing: 323°- 23° = 300°. Example 2 - Easterly magnetic declination = 22°, Magnetic bearing = 278°. - True bearing: 278° + 22° = 300°.

Caring For Your Watch Even though your watch is water-resistant, it is not recommended that you wear it in a hot shower, sauna or hot tub. We suggest sending your Wenger watch to our Customer Service Center for battery replacement (please see procedure under “Warranty Service”). Batteries should only be replaced by a professional jeweler to maintain the watch’s water-resistancy. If your watch has a bracelet, we suggest you see a jeweler for any sizing adjustments.
3-Year Limited Warranty Wenger is proud to stand by our quality Swiss craftsmanship with a 3-Year Limited Warranty. This Wenger watch is warranted to the original consumer/ purchaser against breakage or malfunction under normal use due to defects in material or workmanship. This 3-Year Limited Warranty also includes all components and craftsmanship of the Swiss movement and watch case. We will repair, or at our option, replace any defective Wenger watch with the same or comparable model.
Warranty Service In the United States, please send your watch to: WWRC, 15 Corporate Drive, Orangeburg, NY 10962. Please include a check or money order payable to Wenger NA in the amount of $10(US) to cover the cost of return shipping and handling (California residents exempt). If your warranty has been rendered void as a result of non-compliance with above warranty restrictions, we will send you an estimate before any repairs are made. When sending your watch to our Service Center, please pack it securely.
