WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, always unplug the charger before perform-
ing any cleaning or maintenance. Do not allow water to flow into the charger. Use a Ground Fault
Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) to reduce shock hazards.
14. Remove or disconnect the battery before servicing, cleaning, or removing material from the appli-
ance.
15. Do not dispose of the battery in a fire. The cell may explode. Check with local codes for possible
special disposal instructions.
16. Do not open or mutilate the battery. Release electrolyte is corrosive and may cause damage to the
eyes or skin. It may be toxic if swallowed.
17. Exercise care in handling batteries in order not to short the battery with conducting materials such
as rings, bracelets, and keys. The battery or conductor may overheat and cause burns
18. When operating the unit, never point the blower nozzle in the direction of people or pets or in the
direction of windows. Use extra caution when blowing debris near solid objects, such as trees, auto-
mobiles, and walls.
19. Be sure to secure the unit when transporting it.
20. Never get the unit wet with water or any other liquid. Clean the unit after each use as described in
the cleaning and storage section.
