ELECTRICAL INFORMATION 1. POLARIZED PLUGS. To reduce the risk of electric shock, this equipment has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install a proper outlet. Do not modify the machine plug or the extension cord in any way. 2.
KNOW YOUR BLOWER TOOL PURPOSE This blower is designed for blowing leaves. ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENTS WARNING: Do not plug in or turn on the tool until it is fully assembled according to the instructions. Failure to follow the safety instructions may result in serious personal injury. REMOVING AND CHARGING THE BATTERY 1. Press the battery release button (on top of the battery compartment) and slide the battery out of the blower. 2. Slide the battery into the charger. Refer to Tables A (p. 12) & B (below) to understand what the lights on the battery and charger indicate. 3.
OPERATION WARNING: Always wear safety glasses. Wear a filter mask if the operation is dusty. Use of proper gloves and substantial footwear is recommended when working outdoors. NOTE: The high velocity nozzle tip comes packaged inside the blower tube. Remove the high velocity nozzle tip from inside blower tube before operation. ON/OFF SWITCH (FIG. 2) To turn the tool ON: press the power trigger. The blower will run at LOW SPEED (92 MPH).
MAINTENANCE WARNING: In order to avoid personal injury and the risk of fire and electric shock, remove the battery pack before adjusting, inspecting, or cleaning the blower. WARNING: Any attempt to repair or replace electrical parts on this tool may be hazardous. Servicing of the tool must be performed by a qualified technician. When servicing, use only identical WEN replacement parts. Use of other parts may be hazardous or induce product failure.
STORAGE Examine the blower thoroughly for worn, loose or damaged parts. If you need assistance, contact WEN customer service at 1-800-232-1195. Remove the battery from the tool before storing and unplug the charger before storing. Store your blower, battery pack and charger in a cool, dry place – do not store the battery pack or charger where temperatures may exceed 104°F, such as in direct sunlight or inside a vehicle or metal building during the summer. Always store battery and charger indoors.
