TOOL PURPOSE

This charger is designed for recharging WEN 40V Max Lithium Ion batteries (model numbers 40401

and 40404). Refer to the diagram below to become familiarized with the parts and controls of your 40V

Status Charger LED Light Details

On Off Standby

The battery is not connected and charger is in standby mode.

On Flashing Charging The battery is charging.

Off On Fully Charged The battery is fully charged and should be removed from the charger.

There is a problem with the battery. Contact customer service at

1-800-232-1195 for assistance in replacing the battery.

Temperature

Error

The temperature is either too high or too low. If the battery is warm, re-

move it from the charger for a few minutes to let it cool down. Once the

temperature returns to the normal temperature range (50°F - 104°F),

you can continue charging the battery.
