INTRODUCTION Thanks for purchasing the WEN Laser Distance Measure. We know you are excited to put your tool to work, but first, please take a moment to read through the manual. KNOW YOUR LASER DISTANCE MEASURE TOOL PURPOSE Measure distances, lengths, heights, clearances, areas, and volumes with your WEN Laser Distance Measure. Refer to the following diagrams to become familiarized with all the parts and controls of your tool. The components will be referred to later in the manual for assembly and operation instructions.
ASSEMBLY & ADJUSTMENTS WARNING: Do not turn on the device until it is fully assembled according to the instructions. Failure to follow the safety instructions may result in serious personal injury. INSTALLING/REMOVING BATTERIES Your Laser Distance Measure requires two (2) AAA standard or rechargeable batteries (not included). SELECTING THE MEASURING REFERENCE POINT You can set your measuring device to measure from either the base of the unit or from the top of the unit. See Figures 2 and 3 below to learn more about the two reference point options.

MAINTENANCE WARNING: To avoid accidents, turn OFF the laser before cleaning, adjusting, or performing any mainte- nance or lubrication work. WARNING: Any attempt to repair or replace electrical parts on this device may be hazardous. Servicing of the device must be performed by a qualified technician. When servicing, use only identical WEN replacement parts. Use of other parts may be hazardous or induce product failure.
