CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS - OVERNIGHT TANK CLEANING
OVERNIGHT TANK CLEANING
Perform overnight cleaning if Deliming Procedure does not remove
scale and calcium deposits from water tank.
1. Drain and remove tank.
• Press power switch to the OFF position.
• Drain and remove tank from Water-Max
TM
.
• Remove tank lid from tank. Wash, rinse, and sanitize tank lid in
the 3-compartment sink. Allow to air dry. Store tank lid for later
use.
2. Mix LIMESHIELD
TM
in tank.
• Fill tank half full with hot tap water.
• Pour 1-1/4 cup (10 ounces) LIMESHIELD
TM
powder into tank.
Allow to dissolve completely.
3. Soak overnight.
• When foaming stops, fill tank to rim with hot tap water. Let the
solution soak in the tank overnight.
• After soaking in the tank overnight, carefully drain tank. Loosen
scale deposits with scrub pad. Remove large scale deposits
through top of tank.
4. Rinse twice and reinstall tank.
• Rinse tank thoroughly at least twice. Pour all rinse water into a
sink.
• Put tank lid back on tank.
• Reinstall tank on Water-Max
TM
. Make sure tank connector is
fully seated in socket.
• Press power switch ON. After a short delay, tank will begin
filling.

water.
