The test has not begun since a valid ear cavity has not been detected.
The ear canal volume exceeds 2.5 cc.
Possible causes:
• instrument is not in an ear
• probe tip is not completely sealed in an ear
• instrument is used on perforated tympanic membrane, an ear with
patent tympanostomy tubes, or an extremely large canal (> 2.5 cc).
