CALCULATOR
For Heating System Volume (Finned Tube Baseboard System) and Sentinel Product Dosage
Based on diameter of pipework used (left column) the calculator shows the dosage required per 100 feet length
of pipework. For example X100 dosage, for 1” tubing and 1,000 feet length of pipework you would need 1.6 US
quart bottles (10 x 0.16 US quart bottle).
[1] Estimate based on external diameter of pipe work - so the actual system volume would be less than indicated here.
[2] For example, if the expansion tank holds 4 US gallons and you are using Sentinel X500 and want to prevent freezing to 20°F then use an additional 4/5 of a gallon.
[3] For example, if the additional tank holds 20 US gallons and you are using Sentinel X500 and want to prevent freezing to 20°F then use 4 x 1 gallon drums.
