Technical Change
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
Product changes serve the continuous product improvement. The articles listed below are supplied in a modified
version. Please pass this product information on to your employees and, if necessary, to your customers. All
changes are made for product improvement reasons.

At the moment the ZDU 4 products are manufactured in the established clamp carrier design.
In future, the products concerned will be manufactured with a new clamping carrier, which includes
new marking channels with side flaps. This prevents the markings from slipping out in the future and
enables the use of strip markers.
Since the changes make the wings on the busbars of the 2AN and 3AN variants superfluous, these
wings are removed, and the busbar thickness is reduced to 0.8 mm. In the 4AN variant, the wings are
shortened but the busbar thickness is not reduced and remains 1 mm.
All certifications and approvals of the products affected will be updated in this process.
Due to this product change there are changes in the rated data. The clampable solid conductor in CSA
applications is reduced from 10 AWG to 12 AWG.

There are also changes in the maximum allowed currents in UL and CSA applications. The maximum
UL current is reduced from 33 A to 30 A. Furthermore the maximum CSA current is reduced from 35 A
to 30 A.
