Getting to know and setting up the program
5.8 Setting printers
Before you execute processing operations, you must con-
gure the printers and assign suitable markers to the print-
ers.

Assigning printers
You can assign one or more printers to the program.
► Tap System information.
► Tap Printer.
A dialogue box is opened.
► Tap Add.
A drop-down list is opened.
► Tap the printer you want to add.
A drop-down list is opened.
► Select whether the printer is to be connected via a USB
port or via a network.
A check box is opened.
► Tap the serial number of the printer you want to assign.
► Tap Accept selection.
► Use Test to check whether the printer has been con-
nected successfully.
Changing the printer name on the display
► Tap Settings.
A text box is opened.
► Change the printer name.
► Tap Apply.
Assigning markers to a printer
You have to assign a marker to an individual printer.
► Tap System information.
► Tap Printer.
► Tap the printer to which you want to assign a marker.
► Tap Select Marker.
A drop-down list is opened.
► Tap the marker you want to assign.
► Tap Apply.

You can use the M-Print® PRO software to set up the
marking and printing processes.
Better navigating can be obtained by connecting
a mouse and keyboard to the touch panel when
setting up printing processes in M-Print
®
PRO.
► Tap System information.
► Tap Printer.

5.9 Displaying information
You can display the software versions and serial numbers
of the program and connected devices.
► Tap System information.
► Tap Information.
5.10 Saving the log
You can save the communication of the components as log
data on a USB stick, e.g. if you want to search for errors.
The les are stored in the root directory.
Prerequisite: You have connected a USB stick to the USB
interface of the panel.
► Tap System information.
► Tap Log.
A dialogue box is opened.
► Tap Save.
The dialogue box is closed.
