4.1 Requirements
Operating system
The planning software is designed for operation with the
Windows 7
®
operating system and higher.
To access the planning software, you must have
installed Windows .net 4.5
®
.
4.2 InstallingWPCTool
You must have administration rights on your com-
puter.
All installation les can be downloaded from the
Weidmüller website.
Prerequisite: You have downloaded the installation les
and saved them to the le system.
Open the le Setup-WPC-Tool.exe.
A dialogue box is opened.
Click OK.
A login screen is opened.
Enter your user name.
Enter your password.
Click OK.
A list box is opened.
Select the language.
Click OK.
A list box is opened.
Save the le to the C-drive of your computer.
Click Continue.
A dialogue box is opened.
If you want to create a desktop icon, tick the box next to
Create desktop icon.
Click Continue.
A dialogue box is opened.
Click Install.
The planning software will be installed. A dialogue box is
opened.
If you want to start the planning software later, re-
move the tick next to Start up WPC-Tool.
Click Finalise.
The planning software will start up.
4.3 InstallingtheEPLANplug-in
Projects created in EPLAN can be imported into the plan-
ning software using the EPLAN plug-in. First you have to
install the EPLAN plug-in. Next you have to install a label-
ling scheme.
The installation les can be downloaded from the
Weidmüller website.
Prerequisite: You have downloaded the installation les.
Start up EPLAN.
Click Utilities.
A drop-down list is opened.
Click Scripts.
A drop-down list is opened.
Click Run.
The Select script le menu is opened.
Navigate to the le Menu_Call_WPCExport.cs.
Select the le.
Click Open.
The plug-in will be installed in the Utilities menu.
After successful installation, the Wire Processing Center
(WPC) sub-menu is displayed in the Utilities menu.
