12 Node-RED
Node-RED can be installed as an optional software package (see Software
Units). It is a graphical development tool developed by IBM. This allows
function modules, so-called "nodes", to be lined up in a certain sequence by
drawing connections. Each function module has a defined task. Data can be
processed and transferred between the function modules.
The graphical editor of Node-RED can be started via "DevAdmin" in the tab
"Plugins". Further information on the functionality of Node-RED can be found
in the internet. See also https://nodered.org/.
