9 Managing packages

Furthermore, it is possible to manage device description files as well as plug-

ins that are available in the u-create studio by installing or uninstalling pack-

ages via the Package Manager. A package includes several device descrip-

tion files and library files and offers the advantage that complete system con-

figurations can be installed in one step.

The package manager can be opened in the menu via Tools - Package

Manager.

ÜThe packages can be installed via the button Installierenand can be unin-

stalled via the button Deinstallieren. The file extension of such a package

file is .package.
