6 Operation
For labelling, the normal process is:
Start the software
Set up print job
Load plotter with labelling material
Switch on the plotter
Start the print job.
Before switching on the plotter, make sure
there are no objects on the writing surface
and next to the plotter which could impede
the movement of the writing arm.
6.1 Switching the writing aid on and off
If you wish to use the writing aid, make sure
that the writing boards are tted.
The writing aid can only be switched on or off when
switching the plotter on.
Press and hold the Penstation key while pressing the
ON key.
Release both keys.
The STOP LED lights up red, while the ON stays off.
After a short time, the Penstation LED will indicate the
current status;
If the Penstation LED lights up yellow, the writing aid
is OFF
If the Penstation LED ashes yellow, the writing aid is
ON
To change the status, press the Penstation key.
To save the setting, press the STOP key.
When the plotter switches to operating mode, the ON
LED lights up green.
6.2 Switching access to the pen station on
and off
If using the STI pen for labelling, access to
the pen station must be deactivated in the
M-Print
®
PRO software.
Open the Print menu.
Select "No pen".
Save the setting.
6.3 Pausing the write process/Stop mode
You can pause a write process at any time and
continue it later.
Press the STOP key to pause and restart an ongoing
write process.
The plotter pen is placed in the pen station and the
plotter moves to the top-right corner of the writing
area. The STOP LED lights up red.
Press the STOP key to continue a paused write
process.
The plotter resumes and continues the write process
from the point at which it was paused.
6.4 Cancelling the write process/deleting the
data memory
If you wish to cancel a write process, you need to
delete the current print data from the memory.
Switch to stop mode (STOP key).
Press the Clear buffer key.
The data is deleted and the Clear buffer LED goes out.
Press the STOP key to switch back to operating
mode.
