7.7 Servicing the stripping unit
► Make sure that the stranded wire xing unit is in the front
position.
► Press the tool unit backwards and swing it to the right.

► Clean the area around the hole (1) with a brush.
► If necessary, use a soft cloth and some spirit.
► Check the blade (2). If necessary, replace the blades
(see section 8.3).
7.8 Servicing the crimping tool
To reach the crimping tool, you must dismantle the strand-
ed wire xing unit.
► Ensure that the stranded wire xing unit is located in the
front position (Figure 7.3, B).
► Remove the bottom right screw of the stranded wire x-
ing unit (Figure 7.3, 4).
► Pull out the stranded wire xing unit carefully, forwards.
► Tilt the stranded wire xing unit to the side and place it
down carefully.

► Check whether the rollers (1) on the crimp tool can
move freely.
► Check whether the rollers (2) on the ferrule-holding
tongs can move freely.
► If necessary, oil both points.
► Oil the guide pin (3) of the ferrule-holding unit.
► Oil the lateral running surfaces (4) of the ferrule-holding
unit.
► Re-insert the stranded wire xing unit and tighten it.
