The machine has to be set up in the following situations:
If a di󰀨erent type of wire-end ferrule has to be processed
Every time the machine is put into operation
During set-up, the following settings must be checked and
adjusted if necessary:
Reel holder
Wire-end ferrule reel
Ferrule cross section
Crimp length at four positions (see section 5.3).
The machine must be switched o󰀨 for setting up.
5.1 Congure reel holder
If 16 or 16 S-size wire-end ferrules are to be processed,
the respective reel holder must be widened.
If a wire-end ferrule reel is attached, remove it (see sec-
tion 5.6).
Release the two xing screws (1) on the right part of the
reel holder.
Move this part of the reel holder evenly to the right by
approx. 2 mm.
Screw both xing screws back on tightly.

If 14 or 14 S-size wire-end ferrules are to be processed,
the respective reel holder must be brought back into the
original position.
5.2 Inserting wire-end ferrules
Arrange the wire-end ferrule reels as specied on the
transport unit.
Attach the wire-end ferrule reels (1) so that the ferrule
belts are routed into the transport unit from underneath.

Place the xing pin with the small diameter into the bot-
tom opening of the transport unit.
You can nd the xing pin in the interior of the machine
(see Figure 3.3, 6).

Guide the wire-end ferrule belt into the transport unit,
until the rst ferrule latches in.
Check for rm tting by pulling the wire-end ferrule belt
carefully.
Roll up the loose wire-end ferrule belt.
Remove the xing pin.
