stops; then restart motor and conti nue.
S Inlet Cover -- Discontinue use of unit if
inlet cover fails to latch properly or if it is
damaged in any way.
AFTEREACHUSE
INSPECT AND CLEAN UNIT & LABELS
Stop unit and unplug extension cord.
S After each use, inspect complete unit
for loose or damaged parts. Clean the
unitusingadampcloth.
S Wipe off unit wi t h a clean dry cloth.
CLEANCOLLECTIONBAG
IMPORTANT:
THE COLLECTION BAG
MUST BE PROPERLY EMPTIED.
D You must properly empty and maint ain
the collecti on bag to avoid deteri oration
and obstruction of ai r flow.
D Remove the collection bag from the unit
and empt y after each use. Do not store
bag without emptying the bag of all con-
tents (g rass, leaves, etc.).
D Wash the bag once a year. Remove the
bag from the blower and turn the bag in-
side out. W ash the bag with a water
hose. Allow the bag to hang and dry
compl etely before you reuse the bag.
SERVICE
HOW TO REMOVE AN OBJECT
FROM THE AIR INTAKE
WARNING: Stop the unit and dis-
connect from the power s ource before
opening the inlet cover. The motor must
be stopped and the impeller blades no
longer turning to av oid serious injury
from the rotating blades.
1. While holding the inlet c over open,
remove the vacuum tubes. The inlet
cover must be held open through all
remaining steps.
2. Carefully reach into the vacuum
opening and c lear out the air intake
area. Clear all deb ris from impeller.
3. Inspect the impeller for c racks. If
cracked or d amaged, do not use the
unit. Have parts replaced by your au-
thorized service dealer. Do not at-
tempt to replace them yourself.
STORAGE
WARNING: Perform the following
steps after each use:
S Stop unit and disconnect from the pow-
er source.
S Allow motor to cool before stori ng or
transporting.
S Store unit with all guards in place. Posi-
ti on unit so that any sharp object cannot
accidentall y cause injur y.
S Store unit unplugged, well out of the
reach of chil dr en.
SEASONAL STORAGE
Prepare unit for storage at the end o f
the season or if it will not be used for
30 days or more.
If your blower is to be s tored for a period
of time:
S St op unit and disconnect from the pow-
er source.
S Clean the entire unit before lengthy stor-
age.
S Open inlet cover and clean any dirt,
grass, or debris that has collect ed. In-
spect the blow er and al l tubes. Close
and make sure the cover is latched.
S Clean air vents and ai r inlet of debris.
S Store your unit and extensi on cord i n a
well ventilated area and covered, if pos-
sible, to prevent dust and dirt accumula-
tion. Do not cover with plastic. Plastic
cannot breathe and may cause con-
densation and eventual rust or corr o-
sion.
S Check enti r e unit for loose screws. Re-
place any damaged, worn, or broken
parts.
