LUBRICATION.
DO NOT APPLY LUBRICATION TO THE AIR FILLER NOZZLE OR THE
RIFLES’ AIR FILLER HOLE.
DO NOT LUBRICATE THE RIFLE EXCESSIVELY
Use only mineral based oils such as “Weboil” to lubricate the Raider.
Occasionally apply oil sparingly to the following parts:-
1. The trigger mechanism - remove the stock for access.
2. With the stock removed, apply oil to the rear of the hammer and
hammer spring assembly through the trigger mechanism slot in
the body tube.
3. Close the bolt and apply oil through the cylinder bolt slot onto the
bolt carrier. Cycle the bolt several times to spread the oil.
4. With the bolt open apply oil to the front of the hammer assembly.
5. Remove the magazine and apply oil to the front of the pellet probe
where it contacts the prod seal which is housed in the barrel sleeve,
just visible through the magazine slot . Cycle the bolt several times –
this operation will lubricate the pellet prod and its ‘O’ ring.
6. Open the magazine axis pin and apply oil onto its stem.
7. Lightly lubricate the magazine axis hole and its ‘O’ ring.
LUBRICATING THE MAGAZINE INDEX MECHANISM
Use grease to lubricate the index mechanism components.
To lubricate the magazine indexing mechanism and Magazine stop, undo the 3 -
sideplate fixing screws and withdraw the sideplate assembly from the barrel housing.
Inspect the condition of all visible parts for wear, particularly the Boss Sleeve and
replace if necessary.
QUICK FILL PROBE ‘0’ RINGS REPLACEMENT.
After a period of time it will be necessary to replace the ‘O’ rings on the Quick-fill probe.
This will be apparent if compressed air is heard to leak from the probe, or the probe is
ejected from the rifle during the filling process. Always replace both ‘O’ rings.
MAGAZINE ‘O’ RINGS REPLACEMENT.
The ‘O’ ring, which retains the pellets in the magazine, will need to be replaced after
many hundreds of rounds have been fired. Its replacement becomes apparent when the
rifle’s bolt becomes stiff to operate. Repositioning the ‘O’ ring in its groove may also
overcome the stiffness. Lightly oil the replacement ‘O’ ring before fitting.
CLEANING THE SILENCER BAFFLES
The silencer baffles may be removed from the barrel shroud for cleaning. To remove the
silencer baffles, unscrew the silencer end cap from the barrel shroud. There are 3
baffles housed in the shroud, together with the baffle spacer and silencer ‘O’- ring.
