Selecting a Coaxial cable for HD-SDI (5C-HFBT)
To get stable HD-SDI video signal, selecting a cable is very important. WEBGATE is providing most suitable Coaxial cable, BNC
connector and Cabling tools for our valuable customers.
Selecting a HD-SDI coaxial cable
· If 50ohm BNC connector is used, transmission distance is decreased 10~20m
· Superiority of “A” company product
- Center Conductor : “A” company uses annealed copper, but the other companies use copper covered steel
- Braided shield : “A” company uses 0.13mm, but the other company use 0.09mm
- When selecting 5C-HFBT coaxial cable, its center conductor must be composed of annealed copper.
There are 2 kinds of center conductor. The rst one is made of copper, and the other one is copper covered steel.
- Signal transmission distance of 5C-HFBT cable can be judged by resistance of center conductor.
(Refer to below 5C-HFBT cable performance table)
- BNC connector must have 75ohm impedance. (if used 50ohm’s one, transmission distance will be decreased around 10~20m)
- Crimping type center conductor can be easily used for assembly.
- WEBGATE is supplying “A” company’s 5C-HFBT coaxial cable.
