How to get the best from your Weber® Pulse™
Traditional barbecuing usually involves using the direct method to cook chops, sausages and
steaks on the cooking grill or griddle.
Steaks on your Pulse are great, but you don’t need to be limited to cooking traditional
favourites like these. Barbecuing or grilling on your Pulse is a delicious way to add flavour to
fish, pork, chicken and vegetables too.
Preheating for grilling:
Whenever you use your Pulse for grilling, it
is important that you preheat the barbecue
first, with the lid closed. This ensures that
the porcelain enamelled cast iron cooking
grills or griddle are clean and searing hot
when you start cooking. To preheat your
Pulse for grilling:
1. Connect the front control panel if it isn’t
already, then connect your Pulse to a
power point.
2. Press the on/off button.
3. Turn your control knobs to HIGH.
4. Preheat your barbecue with the lid
closed and your control knobs on
HIGH for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the
barbecue reaches at least 260C.
Grilling:
1. Open the lid and brush the cooking grills
clean with a Weber grill brush.
2. Turn the control knobs to the setting
suggested in the recipe.
3. Place your food directly on the grill (or
griddle if you are using one).
4. Close the lid and cook your food for half
of the estimated cooking time.
5. Open the lid and turn the food over.
6. Close the lid and cook the food for the
remaining cooking time.
How to grill (direct cooking)
Note: For the best grilling results from
your Pulse, we recommend you cook at
the higher end of the temperature range
provided.
For example, steaks cooked over direct
high heat will be best cooked between
270°C and 290°C.
