Usetheshortestroutepossiblewhenrunningcablesinsidethebuilding.
TheDataCableendsattheENNA.Excesscableshouldbecoiled,tiedand
storedneartheENNA.
20. Securelyattachagroundingcabletoametalpartofthemast.Themast
MUSTbegroundedtoprotectagainstlightningandstaticchargebuild‐up.
Thegroundwiremustbeconnectedtoanappropriatelocation(consultan
electriciantoensurepropergrounding).
Wherepossible,theoutdoorweatherstationcomponentsshould
beconnectedtoitsownindependentgroundandnotsharea
groundwithother
equipmentonthebuilding.Thisgrounding
cableshouldfollowtheshortestpathavailableto“earth”ground.
Onceagroundcableisconnectedtoearthground,youshould
measuretheACvoltagebetweenthegroundcableandthemast
beforeconnectingthegroundcabletothemast.Thevoltage
shouldbe0.15voltsorless.
Groundcableandinstallationmustconformtoallapplicablelocal
buildingcodes.Themastmustbegroundedtoan"earth"ground
