Theimportanceofthisstepcannotbeoveremphasized.Awellplannedinstallation
eliminatesalmostallproblemsthatcouldbeencounteredlater.Itmayalsoprevent
havingtomovepartoralloftheweatherstation.

LocateyouroutdoorEarthNetworksWeatherStationinalocationthattakesallof
thefollowingintoaccount:
o Inanopenarea
o Clearofwindobstructions(especiallyfortheprevailingwinddirection)
o Windsensormustbeaminimumof10feet/3meterfromroof
o Sensorsheltermustbeaminimumof8/2.5meterfeetfromroof
o Farawayfromventilationandheatsources(minimumof50feet/15meter)
o Safefromvandalism
o Closeenoughforcablestoconnecttoindoorequipment(cablesareminimum
of200feetadditionallengthscanbeobtainedin100footsectionsby
