Secon 1: Installaon of a Standard Wiring Harness via the Towing Plug
(For Late Model Chevrolet, GM or Dodge Ram Pickup Trucks with the factory trailer towing package only)
1. Connect New Truck Box Harness to Truck
a. Locate the factory wiring for towing plug/7 pin connector under or behind the rear
bumper of your truck. Disconnect the 7-pin connector from the back of the plug. Please
note that there is likely a locking tab that needs to be depressed in order to unplug it.
Plug the new harness socket into the back of the plug and
then the towing plug into the
other plug in the new harness.
b. Tuck in and secure the trailer hitch wiring harness to the bumper, bed, or exisng
factory wiring harness using a zip e.
