By bringing in a continuous supply of fresh air and exhausting
contaminated air, HRVs and ERVs can reduce radon levels in homes
where Active Soil Depressurization is unlikely to be successful.
The climate conditions where you are installing the equipment
will determine whether you will need a Heat Recovery Ventilator
or an Energy Recovery Ventilator.
HRVs are usually recommended for colder climates with
longer heating seasons.
ERVs are used for warmer more humid climates with long
cooling seasons.They use enthalpic cores to transfer both
heat and moisture.
