FIRSTUSE
Beforeusingforthefirsttime,pleaseremoveallthevariouspackagingmaterialsandwipeofftheunitwith
aslightlydampenedcloth.
Note:Whensuingforthefirsttime,yo
ushouldoperateitwithoutfoodinside.
y Positionthedevicesuchthatitcanbeopenedtothefullextent.
y Applyalightcoatingofbutter,margarineorcookingfattotheheatingplatesusingabrushoracloth,
beforeusingthedeviceforthefirsttim
e.Thishelpstosealtheheatingplatesandmustonlybecarried
outonetime.
y Subsequently,shutthelid.Duringoperationandwarmup,thismustalwaysbeclosed.Plugthedevice
intoasuitablemainssocket(thegreenandredoperationlightslightup)andswitchthedeviceon.
y The wa
ffle plate requires approx. 4‐5 minutes to warm up. When the desired temperature has been
attained,thegreenoperationlightgoesout.
y Whenusing forthefirsttime,youmaynoticeslightsmokeandodor.Thiswillnotrecurandis dueto
thefinalpr
oductionresidues,whichareharmless.
y Afterthiswarmupprocess,allowthedevicetothoroughlycooldown.Subsequently,cleanthedevice
asspecifiedinthechapteron“Cleaningandmaintenance”.
y Thedeviceisnowreadytouse.

OPERATION
y Plug the device into a properly installed mains socket and swi
tch the device on, by turning the
adjustmentknobtotherighttemperaturelevel.(theredand greenoperationlampwilllightup).
