CLEANING
z Before cleaning the Iron ensure it is disconnected from the power supply and has
completelycooleddown.
z Depositsonthesoleplatemayberemovedwitharoughclothsoakedinavinegarwater
solution.
z Thecastingmaybewipedwithadampclothandthenpolishedwithafryone.
z Donotuseabrasivesonthesoleplate.
z Keepthesoleplatesmooth.Avoidhardcontactwithmetalobjects.
TIPS
Whichtypeofwatertouse?
Yourappliancehasbeendesignedtofunctionwithuntreatedtapwater.Ifyourwateris very
hard, it’s possible to mix untreated tap water with storebought distilled or demineralised
waterinthefollowingproportion:50%ta
pwater/50%distilledwater.
Whichtypeofwaternottouse?
The types of water listed below contain organic waste or mineral elements that can cause
spitting, brown staining, or leakage: water from clothes dryers, scented or softened water,
waterfromairconditioners.
Ifproblemsoccur?
Water drips fr
om the holes
inthesoleplate.
The chosen temperature is
too low and does not allow
fortheformationofsteam.
Position the thermostat to
the maximum temperature
setting.
You are using steam while
theironisnothotenough.
Wait until the control light
goesout.
You have stored the iron
horizontal, without
emptying it and without
switching off the steam
function.
Empty the iron after each
use,andstoreitvertical.
Brown streaks come
through the holes in the
soleplate and stain the
linen.
You are using chemical
descalingagents.
Do not add any descaling
agentstothewater.
Fabric fibers have
accumulated in the holes of
the soleplate and are
burning.
Let the iron cool down and
clean the soleplate with a
sponge.Vacuumtheholesof
the soleplate from time to
time.
