Waves eMotion LV1 User Guide | Chapter 1: Setup
Input Meter
Selects the metering point at which input level will be measured.
Options: pre-digital or post-digital trim
Output Meter
Separately selects output metering points for channels, groups, aux, and
masters. Options: Pre-fader or post-fader for each category
Delay Units
Sets the unit of measure for delay-related displays. This choice is provided
for convenience only and does not affect delay processing.
Delay Units: milliseconds, feet, meters, samples
Speed of Sound
User-determined speed of sound measurement for use in delay-related
calculations. Display is in meters. Default: 340 meters/second
Peak and Clip Settings
Clip Threshold determines the level at which a peak light turns red, indicating clipping. Setting the
Clip Threshold setting below 0 dBFS provides a warning before clipping occurs. This setting does not
affect the behavior of the peak level indicator.
Clip Threshold: 0 to -28 dBFS, Clip Hold: 0–5 seconds, Peak Hold: 0–5 seconds
Mixer Window
Display Input or Output Meters determines the meter source of the channel strip meters in the
Mixer window. Options: Input or output
Channel Select Follow Fader
When selected, activating a fader in the Mixer window selects the channel. When deselected,
touching and moving a fader will not select its channel. In this mode you can adjust a fader of a
channel in the Mixer window while adjusting the parameters of another in the Channel window.
Touch the top or bottom sections of a channel strip to select the channel or use the channel
selector in the Top Bar.
Display Auto-Scaling
When Auto-Scaling is selected, the eMotion LV1 window will automatically rescale to occupy 90% of the
resolution set for each display. When Full Screen mode is selected, LV1 windows will rescale to 100%
resolution on each display.
