Waves eMotion LV1 User Guide | Chapter 4: Mixer Window
PAN/FADER VALUE
When the panner or fader is touched, its value is displayed in this value box. Panner values are displayed in blue and fader values
in yellow.
P
EAK LEVEL INDICATOR
Located just below the Fader/Panner value box, this indicator displays peak level and clipping. Peak hold, clip hold, and clip
indicator threshold are set at Setup > U/I Settings > Peak and Clip. Click anywhere on the meter to clear holds.
F
ADER
Touch a fader to select it. Usually, selecting a fader also selects the channel. At times it’s desirable to disconnect the fader from
channel selection. Deselect “Channel Select Follow Fader” in the U/I Settings page (Setup > U/I Settings > Mixer Window).
When under the control of a DCA, the fader stays in its original position, while the DCA offset value is shown as a “ghost fader.”
On a multi-touch display, you can touch several faders simultaneously to control level of multiple channels. However, only one
channel at a time can be selected.
Return a fader to its default position with ALT+click.
Range: -144 dB to +10 dB
M
ETERS
• Stereo or mono peak meter
• Input and output meter selections are made at Setup > U/I Settings. Range: -INF to +10 dB

CUE/SOLO SWITCH AND INDICATOR

Using Cue/Solo is discussed later in this chapter.
C
HANNEL INDEX
Lists the channel’s index number within its layer type (channel, group, aux, etc.).
