SPEEDSignal’s Scanned Results

Note: The scanned results are very similar for both the Pocket PC PDA and desktop PC

versions of SPEEDSignal.

SPEEDSignal will report the following information for the router that is being monitored:

channel, MAC address, noise, signal and number of frames for each unit that the

monitored unit hears on the network. This information is recorded in separate rows, as

shown below.

Scanned results

Descriptions of scanned results:

A: Channel - Reports the channel of 802.11b incoming and outgoing

traffic. (This is abbreviated as "C" on the Pocket PC PDA).

B: MAC address and type of unit - Two items are included here: the MAC address of

the 802.11b unit SPEEDSignal hears on the network. It also lists the type of 9000 unit

(e.g., mesh, point-to-point, base station, CPE).
