Install Instructions

1. Remove the retainer from the body bore. The check valve
mod ules can now be removed from the valve by hand or
with a screw driv er. Note: The seats and springs of the first
and second check modules are not in ter change able. The
heavier spring and smaller di am e ter seat belong with the first
check module.
2. The check seats are attached to the cage with a bay o net
type lock ing ar range ment. Hold ing the cage in one hand,
push the seat in ward and ro tate clockwise against the cage.
The seat, spring cage, spring and disc assembly are now
in di vid u al com po nents.
Note:
3
⁄4" M2 modules snap apart.
3. The disc assembly may now be cleaned and re-as sem-
bled or, de pend ing on its condition, may be dis card ed and
replaced with a new assembly from the re pair kit. O-rings
should be cleaned or replaced as nec es sary and light ly
greased with the FDA approved grease. Refer to parts price
list, PL-RP-BPD for more information.
4. Re-assemble the check valve modules. Check mod ules are
in stalled in the valve body with the seat fac ing the valve inlet.
The modules must be se cure ly in place be fore the re tain er
can be re placed. On the

⁄4" size re tain er may have to be tilt-
ed slightly into place. Re place relief valve as sem bly.
