2. Product Description The H2iQ wireless leak sensor is a radio frequency (RF) water leakage detector designed to link with the H2iQ E800 All-in-One Whole Home Water Management System, providing peace of mind and protection against costly water damage. If a leak is detected, the unit will produce both audible and visual alarms.
3. Operation Before using the wireless sensor, you must first set up the H2iQ All-in-One Whole Home Water Management System, following the instructions provided with the system. Batteries provided with the H2iQ wireless leak sensor are designed to last approximately two years with normal use. The LED on the top of the sensor will blink red when the battery is low and needs to be replaced. NOTICE Watts does not recommend rechargeable batteries. For best results use alkaline batteries.
Activating the Sensor 1. To activate the leak sensor, press the button located in the center of the top of the unit for 5 seconds. You will see a green blinking LED light below the button, indicating that the sensor is operational but not paired with an H2iQ All-in-One Whole Home Water Protection System yet. Sensor Button 2. Place the sensor near the base of the H2iQ E800 system. 3. Look at the touch screen display on the H2iQ E800 and select Leak Sensor. 4.
5. Tap Pair Sensor, then type a name or location for the sensor and tap Enter. 6. Press the button on the top of the leak sensor to complete the process. You have 30 seconds to link the H2iQ E800 system to the sensor before it returns to normal. The LED on the sensor will blink green during the pairing process. 7. After the sensor is paired, you may move the sensor to the desired location. LED Indicator The light on the top of the leak sensor provides visual information about the status of the unit.
• • • You will hear the sensor’s audible alert. The light on the top of the sensor will blink red and green. The display screen on the H2iQ E800 will indicate a leak, and the system will shut off the water. To silence the audible alert, do one of the following: • • • Press the button on the top of the sensor. Remove the sensor from the water. It will clear the water leak state and also silence the audible alert. Use the touch screen on the H2iQ E800 to reset the sensor and clear the alarm.
Leak Sensor Error A solid red light on the sensor indicates an error has occurred. Typically, this is due to an issue with the sensor, its circuit board, or both. If this occurs, replace the sensor. Unpairing a Leak Sensor If you have a leak sensor which you need to replace or no longer want to monitor, you can unpair it from the H2iQ E800 system as follows. 1. On the Home screen, select Leak Sensor. 2. Tap the Manage Sensors button. 3. Select the sensor you want to unpair and tap Un-pair Sensor. 4.
