THE WATSON 4-BAY 9V BATTERY CHARGER'S FEATURES INCLUDE: Powered by an internal AC adapter with compact fold-in outlet prongs for indoor use. Multiple charging circuits allow you to charge one or four 9V size nickelmetal hydride batteries. 7 A special circuit senses when the battery is fully charged and automatically stops charging.
A safety timer shutoff turns off the charger to prevent overcharging batteries. Short-circuiting protection protects the charger and batteries from short circuits. . Overcurrent protection protects the charger from defective or shorted batteries.
CHARGING OPERATION: 1 Insert one to four 9V NiMH batteries into the battery slots, oriented according to the polarity symbols (+ or -) that are marked on the battery. 2 Connect the supplied AC adapter's barrel plug into the charger's rear power input jack. 3 Plug the AC adapter into a standard AC outlet. 4 The charger will perform a self test when the power is first connected. The LED will come on shortly and then go off to indicate ready status.
6 There are four independent charging channels and respective LED indicators. When charging is complete, the LED indicator will turn green. The batteries with green LED indicators are ready for use. 7 When charging is completed, unplug the charger from the outlet and then remove the batteries from the charger. GENERAL CHARGING HINTS: It is normal for the batteries to become warm while charging. Charge batteries in temperatures between 32°F and 104°F (0°C and 40°C). Cold batteries cannot charge fully. If they are too warm, the batteries can lose their capacity to recharge. Do not charge batteries other than those listed in this manual, and do not use procedures other than those described in this manual.
