5.20 Configuration
The switch supports three copies of configurations, including the default configuration, working
configuration and user configuration for your configuration management. The three copies are
described below:
Default Configuration:
The default configuration is the factory setting and cannot be altered. The following lists two
restore default functions provided if it becomes necessary to restore the default settings for
the switch:
o Restore Default Configuration – defaults to the IP address 192.168.1.1
o Restore Default Configuration without changing current IP address – the IP
address will remain the same.
Working Configuration:
The working configuration is the current configuration and can be changed any time. The
configurations you are using are saved into this configuration file. This is updated each time
you click on Apply.
User Configuration:
User configuration is the specified file for backup purposes and can be updated while
confirming the configuration. You can retrieve this configuration by performing Restore User
Configuration.
Note: If you make changes to the configuration, you must save the configuration before
rebooting the switch.
