If VLAN is enabled and configured, each node in the network that can communicate with each
other directly is contained in the same VLAN area.
In Example 2, the VLAN area is defined by the configured VLAN. The switch supports both port-
based VLAN and tag-based VLAN. They are different in practical deployment, especially in
physical locations. The following diagram shows how the VLAN works.
