Motor overload protector
Each motor is equipped with self-resetting, thermal
overload protectors, situated one in each winding
of the stator. The protectors are connected in
series and will trip at a temperature of 120°C
(248°F). In the event the protectors fail but the
motor remains otherwise undamaged, an overload
protector may be mounted in the control unit of the
machine. Before making such installation check to
ascertain that the windings are not damaged.
